DRY DOCKING INSPECTION

UWILD & IWS

UWILD & IWS

Under Water Inspection(s) in lieu of Dry-Docking (UWILD), or In Water Surveys (IWS), are required to ensure the structural and operational integrity of a marine asset throughout its operational life span.
Completing these surveys with divers, while on location, saves the asset owner and their clients both time and money by reducing downtime, limiting time off-contract, and reducing or eliminating the need for expensive and limited dry-docking. This process includes sub-surface inspection utilising divers and a top-side inspection utilising rope access technicians as required.
We are approved by various international classification societies (IACS) to conduct these surveys such as ABS, DNV-GL and Lloyds. Our UWILD and IWS specialities are with all ship types and offshore MODU’s such as Jack ups, semi-submersibles/ floaters, and drill ships. We are connected to a network system of bases of operation strategically located around the globe, with up to date, certified and conformant equipment kept in each of them, allowing us to mobilise to client location quickly and efficiently.

We can also offer our diving services from dive support vessels. Through these avenues we can be sure, and our clients can be certain, that our UWILD & IWS services will be executed professionally, efficiently and in line with any IACS requirements. When we conduct our UWILD and IWS surveys, we work closely with the IACS attending surveyor, working methodically through an agreed scope of work.

Our experienced divers operate from self-contained dive spreads, using surface-supplied air. All our divers are qualified in line with strict international requirements that govern this technique in the offshore commercial diving industry. Our topside team are all experts in the field of rope access and have formal qualifications from the internationally recognised body IRATA. Our NDT technicians and operators are also qualified to the same level in their respective disciplines.
At Marine Eagle, we are committed to HSEQ performance and believe that all tasks can be performed safely and without injury whilst maintaining the highest standards of delivery across all of our services. These are backed by numerous positive accolades from our satisfied clients.
